PERSONALITY: Named after Sniper's old dog back home, it came as a disappointment to Sniper that Courage ended up being the total opposite of his namesake. Sniper met Courage when he first arrived in New Bark Town and they've had a rocky relationship ever since. Both trainer and Pokemon are loners who prefer quiet solitude over the presence of other people, but Courage lacks Sniper's bravery, bad temper and emotional fortitude. Sniper doesn't have the patience for his Pokemon's cowardice and often berates him for running away from his problems, while Courage fears and begrudges Sniper for his sharp tongue and scoldings. The Cubone doesn't mingle with the other Pokemon either, preferring to wonder off on his own and misleading the others into thinking he doesn't like them. Overall the situation does not look healthy and some outside intervention might be needed in order to set things right.

The whole team finds her mothering a bit excessive and she's got a bit of a prickly relationship with the free-willed Jack.

PERSONALITY: The first Pokemon Sniper caught, Hootsalot has a rather...zen outlook on life; he accepts both the good and bad, and prefers to view it as inevitabilities in life. Losing to Courage had been a bit of a fluke and a bump on this owl's path to self-enlightenment, but he's adapted well enough to being on Sniper's team.

PERSONALITY: From day one after being hatched, Jack has landed himself into more scraps than the entire team added up together. It's all with good intentions though because the Poochyena really just wants to be a contributing member of the team; he constantly tries to up his levels and prove he doesn't need to be babied, especially by Samantha. Sniper recognizes and respects Jack's independence, only stepping in when absolutely necessary, and the two of them have a good relationship.

STYLE: Tends to stand still for a bit too long, so he's not very good at dodging stuff. But once he latches on with his teeth he refuses to let go; it's a strategy with mixed results.

CHARACTERISTIC: A very daring Pokemon who's not afraid to stand her ground against her opponents. She scares a lot of the other male Rattatas, but is secretly looking for her Prince Charming.

MOVESET: Tackle, Tailwhip, Quick Attack, Focus Energy

PERSONALITY: A feisty young Rattata who scared the bejeebus out of Courage the first time the two met. Despite being a few levels higher Courage was quite intimidated by her and had to be rescued by Sir Hootsalot. Impressed by her chuzpah Sniper caught her and decided to give her to Anna, in the hopes that raising one of those ferocious purple rats will help cure her of her irrational avoidance of EVERY. SINGLE. RATTATA. That they've met so far. Her dogged persistence, tenacity and firm belief in herself inspired Sniper to nickname her after Princess Anna.

STYLE: She's a bit of a powerhouse for a Rattata, so Princess favours getting in close and duking it out. But she's not reckless though and she is smart enough to know that charging in heads-first without thinking out a plan is one way to lose quickly.

CHARACTERISTIC: For a Pokemon with the Insomnia ability, she tends to sleep a lot.

PERSONALITY: Named for a fearsome spider back in Sniper's homeland and for her future evolution, Redback is an extremely laidback Spinarak. Que sera sera seems to be her motto in life and as such she didn't even raise a pincer when Sniper decided to make her a part of his team. Sniper finds her obedient if a bit lacking in character. He's been trying to use her string to make nets, an endeavour Redback finds interesting because who knew humans could spin webs of their own?

STYLE: Applies Stringshot liberally to slow them down. Prefers to back off and let Poison Sting slowly weaken the enemy.

PERSONALITY: Cherry is an apt name for a Pokemon as sweet as this Cherubi. Mild-mannered with the patience of a saint, Sniper caught her while she was enjoying a patch of sun. She took to the travelling life easy enough and proved an amiable presence amongst Sniper's team...until the day Jack tried to get a taste of her second cherry head. Sniper never knew a floating giant red cherry could be so fearsome. Her gentle smile never wavered even as she tackled the bejeebus out of Jack, and ever since then everyone (trainer included) has taken care to never get on her back side.

STYLE: She's a passive fighter, opting for a long growth strategy to build up her strength before she launches the counter-attack.
